Reverend Olivia Poole, Pastor

A native of Montgomery, Alabama, Reverend Olivia Poole was raised in the congregation of First United Methodist Church where her family is actively involved and her mother continues to teach Sunday school.  She attended Auburn University and received a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration before going to Emory University's Candler School of Theology.  Olivia is pursuing her Doctor of Ministry through Duke Divinity School at Duke University and is in the process of writing her thesis. 

 In her free time, Olivia enjoys running, hiking, and spending time outdoors. She also enjoys spending time with close friends and family. Two of her favorite places are Orange Beach and Blue Lake. 

 Olivia is married to Reverend Steve Reneau who is the pastor of Elba United Methodist Church. Steve and Olivia have a one-year-old son, Grantham. Grantham brings them great joy!

Farrah Karimi, Minister of Christian Education

Farrah loves ministering to kids, students, and their families. She believes it is important for parents and church leaders to work together to teach kids and students to love God, His Word, and His Son, Jesus. 

 
 Farrah is from Birmingham, Alabama. She attended Samford University where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Religion. Farrah also studied Spanish in college and served as the Director of CrossRoads Hispanic Student Ministry prior to serving at St. Luke. She has also served in Ecuador, Nicaragua, Honduras, and Costa Rica, where she lived and studied Spanish for 6 weeks. She has a huge heart for missions and sees the importance of following Jesus' command in Acts 1:8 to be witnesses for Jesus beginning in Jerusalem and extending to the ends of the earth.
 
Farrah enjoys running, drinking a good cup of coffee, traveling, watching the Boston Celtics, and hanging out at the beach.

Wendy-sykes-medium

Wendy Sykes, Assistant to the Minister of Education

Wendy considers herself from Tennessee, where her family farm is, even though she has moved around a lot as the child of a Secret Service agent and wife of an Army officer. She, her husband, Brian, and her two children, Samantha and Nathan, moved to Enterprise the summer of 2015, joining St. Luke soon after. Brian has since retired and taken a position on Fort Rucker which will keep them here happily for a very long time.

Wendy has worn many hats professionally, from a housekeeper and preschool assistant teacher while attending Berry College, to a television engineer in Atlanta, to the administrative assistant of a church in Portland, ME. She has spent the last 15 years volunteering at their church and her kids’ schools in the different areas they lived. Whatever she is doing at the moment, she gives it her all and is very excited to share the gifts God has given her to help the kids, students, teachers and leadership of St. Luke’s ministries.

Wendy enjoys spending time with family and friends, singing and listening to music, and taking her kids all over to experience new places, new foods and new activities.

Julie Biddle, Church Administrator

Julie was born and raised in Chattanooga, TN.  She moved to Enterprise, AL in September of 2004 to minister to youth on Fort Rucker through Youth for Christ from 2004-2012. 

Julie’s background is in Law Firm Management.  She was a Legal Administrator and Office Manager for 15 years before moving to Enterprise.  Julie has attended St. Luke UMC since 2013 and began working as the Church Administrator in July of 2015.  She is passionate about her role and enjoys interacting with the congregation. 

Julie enjoys spending time with her family, entertaining friends, watching Alabama football, movies and traveling.

Julie and her husband, Clint, are blessed to have two children, Jackson and Zoe.  They are happy to have a Christ centered home where all are welcome.

Adele Pridgen, Director of Contemporary Worship

Adele Pridgen has been a member of St. Luke since 2004 and now has the honor of serving as the Director of Contemporary Music for our 9 am service.
Adele is a Registered Nurse by trade and has served as the Nursing Coordinator for Enterprise Winshape Camp since 2015.
 She is married with 4 children, ages 19-2. Her eldest, David, is currently serving in the US Army. 
Adele is passionate about leading worship and believes that God has enabled us through the gift of music to exhault Him in highest praise! 
 
 Martin Luther once said: "Next to the Word of God, the noble art of music is the greatest treasure in the world."

Roy Hoobler, Director of Traditional Worship

Roy Hoobler is originally from Salt Lake City, Utah.  He received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Marshall University in West Virginia.  After graduating, however, he joined the U.S. Army and was a Korean interpreter for 5 years, living mostly in South Korea during that time.  Since the Army, he has received his Education certificate and had held a couple of teaching positions over the last 10 years before opening Hoobler Music in Enterprise.  Roy is grateful to have found a home at St. Luke UMC after having served in Methodist, Presbyterian, and Catholic churches as organist, pianist, and choir director.  Roy also is the founder / director of the Masterworks Community Choir in Enterprise.

Freta McCall, Financial Secretary

Freta joined the staff in May 2017. Freta finally made it to college at age 56 and has an A.S.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting from Enterprise-Ozark Community College. She is a native of NW Florida, but Enterprise has  been her home since 1984. Freta has 2 children and 3 grandsons. She is a member of Daleville Baptist Church where she sings in the choir and serves on several committees. Freta’s household consists of her grandson , Deuce Roberts and a mischievous maltipoo named Cotton.

Ken Kirkland, Facilities Manager

Ken Kirkland takes pride in ensuring that our building is a safe and welcoming environment. Ken has over 18 years of experience in many different trades and holds multiple certifications. His wealth of experience, knowledge, and  dedication makes Ken a valuable asset to the St. Luke staff.  

A father of 5 children, Ken has been married to his wife Savanna for 14 years. When Ken isn't serving at church or spending time with family he plays bass in his band, Midlife Crisis.
